Third local adaptation of 'The Way Out'

After its hugely successful first season on VTM in Belgium (Dutch-speaking), ‘The Way Out’ has now been commissioned by RTBF for the French-speaking part of Belgium. The local adaptation will be produced by Roses are Blue, the original creators of the format. They’re currently also producing a second series for VTM and a first series for Talpa Network (SBS6) in the Netherlands. All versions are slated to launch this fall.

In addition to these straight-to-series commissions, Be-Entertainment has also closed option deals in France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

On each episode, two different celebrity duos are sent into two identical rooms full of mysteries to be solved. Their quest? To figure out the scientific experiments and unravel the codes, because every test or assignment they complete provides them with a clue. And brings them a step closer to finding ‘The Way Out’ first!

Says Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof, “This is the first escape room format that’s truly able to engage the viewer by switching from the 'adventure room' to a studio set-up. Interviews with the celebs and additional insight into the experiments given by an expert add maximum tension throughout the episodes.”
