STRONG LAUNCH FOR ' DID YOU GET THE MESSAGE' IN BELGIUM

STRONG LAUNCH FOR ‘DID YOU GET THE MESSAGE?’ ON VTM IN BELGIUM

A strong launch on VTM last night for the new hidden camera comedy ‘Did you get the message?’. The show, which airs in a key 8:30 primetime slot was able to increase the market share in the slot with more than 40% resulting in a market share of almost 35% in the ‘18-44’ buying target group.

‘Did you get the message?’ is the highly anticipated brainchild of Tim van Aelst, Belgium’s most prolific content creator. Emmy award-winner Van Aelst is the creator of such successful international formats as ‘Benidorm Bastards’ and ‘What If?’ The new format offers a fresh take on the best way to get a message across so there’s no chance of it being forgotten. From embarrassing messages such as ‘your feet smell’ and ‘we never see you in the pub now that you have a new girlfriend’ to a creative way to send a romantic message, no message is off limits and each and every one is sure to be memorable. All are easy to adapt in other countries, as the messages featured on the Belgian show are universal and readily recognizable.

Handling the international distribution of the format is Be-Entertainment, the recently established international distribution arm of MEDIALAAN. Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof will be introducing the format at MIPCOM 2017.
