Second Danish series of 'Greetings from 19xx' commissioned

After the great success of the first series, TV2 in Denmark has now ordered a second series of ‘Greetings from 19xx’. The first season, which finished in the fall, captured a very strong 29% average market share .

The factual entertainment format, which sees one celebrity family per episode experience a family weekend as though it took place in the year the celeb was 12 years old, has also been a solid success elsewhere in Scandinavia. The first season of ‘Greetings from 19xx’ on TV4 in Sweden scored a 28 % average market share over the series, resulting in a 20% boost above the channel’s slot average.

‘Greetings from 19xx’ continues to be a solid success in both Belgium and the Netherlands. After two highly rated seasons on VTM in Belgium, with market shares up to 50% in the 18-44 target, a third series is currently in production.

An average of 1.1 million viewers tuned in to the show in the Netherlands, where the first season captured a 19% market share on RTL4. It was the best scoring weekday show for the channel last spring and has been commissioned for a second season.

In Belgium and the Netherlands the new series will launch in January.
