MULTIPLE NOMINATIONS AND AWARDS FOR BE-ENTERTAINMENT

Several formats distributed by Be-Entertainment, established less than two years ago, have already chalked up various awards and several new nominations. Two programs were nominated earlier this week for the BANFF World Media Festival’s Rockie Awards. The hidden camera comedy ‘Did you get the Message,’ as well as the feel-good factual entertainment show ‘Make Belgium Great Again’ were nominated in the Comedy and Variety Program category.

‘Did you get the Message’, which offers a fresh new take on getting a message across,
was hugely successful on VTM in for the last two years. The Shelter production previously won the prestigious International Emmy award for best Non-Scripted Entertainment program, as well as a World Media Award plus the C21 Award for best new comedy format. These are now being followed by nominations for a Rockie Award as well as a NY Festivals TV & Film Award.

‘Make Belgium Great Again’, created by FC Panache, sees a team of young TV makers trying to make the nation a better place. The series proved to be successful on all fronts, from market shares, online viewing numbers, likability, social media power, press attention to the impact of its missions. It is now also being acknowledged for its creativity internationally. Along with the Rockie Award, the format also received a C21 nomination earlier this week.

In addition to the above two formats, the touching factual series ‘Doctor Davy’, which sees a doctor doll brighten up the hospital and its small patients, has also been nominated for a C21 award.

The 2019 Rockie Awards will be announced during the Banff World Media Festival, to take place June 9th through 12th. The winners of the C21 Awards will be revealed on April 6th.

Says Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof: “We’re thrilled that such great content is being so widely acknowledged.”
