Doctor Davy traveling to Germany

Belgian distribution company Be-Entertainment just closed a deal with RTL 2 in Germany for the first season of ‘Doctor Davy’. The deal comes in the wake of the tremendous interest generated by the format at this month’s MIPTV. Launched on VTM last month, the factual show is touching hearts across the nation, receiving very positive press throughout the series.

‘Doctor Davy’, a format featuring an especially developed doctor doll with a camera in its stethoscope, offers viewers an up close and personal inside view of the pediatric ward of a local hospital.

 Says Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof, who is currently negotiating the format with several other territories: “We’re humbled by all the international interest in little ‘Doctor Davy’. It’s such a genius idea and we’re happy to see that this is being recognized internationally and that the doctor’s first trip will be to Germany.”
