‘CHALLENGE THE CHANNEL’ OFF TO A SOLID START
Brand-new, action-packed format ‘CHALLENGE THE CHANNEL’ launched in primetime last night to strong ratings, with 580,000 viewers tuning in to the show on VTM, and a 33% market share, making it the evening’s slot leader.
The episode marked the kick-off for an intense 100-day training period, after which eight VTM viewers will battle eight VTM celebrities in eight battles, all using their brand-new skills. After the end of the training period, in February 2020, the show will be back on air to feature the demanding training sessions leading up to the actual battles.
The eight challenges to be conquered by the competing viewers and celebrities include everything from cheerleading to becoming a ladies’ hairdresser, from holding one’s breath while diving to operating tower cranes. Eight battles later, after all the skills have been put to the test, either the viewers or celebrities will achieve victory.
‘CHALLENGE THE CHANNEL’ will be one of Be-Entertainment’s key formats at Mipcom in Cannes next month.
